George W. McLearen
September 10, 1958 — July 28, 2013
Age 54, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 28, 2013 with his loving family by his side.
George is survived by his wife Tammy of 29 years; daughter, Kim (Matt) McLearen-Jones; grandchild to be; brother, Howard Tanner Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephew, great-niece, cousins, aunt, and uncle; as well as his loving pets.
Preceded in death by his parents George McLearen and Margaret (Howard) Tanner; and sister, Deborah (nee McLearen) Bearden.
George loved collecting and restoring petrolinia. He had a love for Cadillacs and model railroading. He loved buying and selling goods relating to his hobbies on Ebay. George had a passion for attending and working auctions. He loved his dogs, especially Cookie and Benny. George will be truly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to George's family. Special thanks to Loyola University Medical Staff for all of their efforts.
A Celebration of George's life will begin on Friday, August 2, 2013 with a service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park II in Joliet. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet.
