Age 81, passed away on March 19, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family by his side.
Survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley (nee Louch) Liker; daughter, Dolores (James) Brncich; son, David (Sandra) Liker; grandchildren, Aaron (fiancA�?A�AC. Lisa) and Adam (fiancA�?A�AC. Julie) Brncich, David Jr., Denise and Danielle Liker; step-grandchildren, Robie, Katrina and Alexandra Fisher; sisters, Frances (Alex) Munday and Elizabeth (Frank) Gregorash. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and Linda Liker.
Preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Francis (nee Kordish) Liker; son, George Jr. Liker; twin infant brothers; brother, John; sisters, Rose (Ervin) Geiss, Mary (Anton) Lopykinski and Ann (Louis) Ketz.
Former building superintendent of Lockport Township High School. Member Croatian Fraternal Union #18, V.F.W. Cantigny Post #367, American Legion Post 1080, Croatian club, Chaney Club, Joanites St. Mary Nativity, St. Joseph Senior Club. George was on the Crest Hill City Council and Chaney Board Member.
From where services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 at 9:30 AM to St. Mary Nativity Church for a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.
Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 and 5-8 PM.
