Gaetano Charles Tomei ""Chuck"" Age 84, of Norwood, PA, entered into eternal rest on September 12, 2005 in Plainfield, IL. He was born December 22, 1920 in Norwood, PA, the son of the late Libbera (Coppa) Tomei and Alberto Tomei. The fourth of eight siblings, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Teresa Morochko, Maria Josephine Bonavita, Concetta (Jean) Rappucci, Michael A. Tomei, Anthony F. Tomei, Louise Plebani and Mary Ann Kanouse. Also preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Frances (Miller) Tomei (WI). Survived by his wife of 18 years, Vernette Cheryl (Saager) Tomei; his daughters, Patricia (David) Bergeson and Cora Anderson, both of Wichita, KS, Valerie Ann (Michael) Kouba of Plainfield, IL and Trew Mielke of St. Paul, MN; six grandchildren, Scott (Stacey) Bergeson, Steven (Melissa) Begerson, Chad Anderson, Vanesha Mielke, Kelly and Alan Kouba; four great-grandchildren, Jack and Joey Bergeson, Serina Anderson and Tarah Mielke; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Tomei resided in Norwood, PA, Madison, WI, Haelhurst, WI and Plainfield, IL. A Roman Catholic, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the East Side Business Men'a Association in Monona, WI, and the American Legion, Marne, Post #13, Plainfield, IL. Mr. Tomei was an admired, respected, retired business man, who operated his own television repair business in Monona. He also was retired from the U.S. Postal Services and a member of the America Postal Workers' Union (APWU). He assisted his wife, Vernette, in the operations of the Pure Rod and Gun Club of Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Mr. Tomei's name to St. Jude's Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. All of the families of G.
