Frederick C. Horvat At rest Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Agnes L. (nee Jakovich) Horvat; his sons, Edward (Lena) and Richard (Rosemary) Horvat; a daughter, Lynnan (George) Barr; his grandchildren, Gabrielle and Samantha Horvat, Andrew and Nathan Horvat, Matthew, Alyssa and Stephanie Barr; step-grandchildren, Julia and Hannah Mihelich and Aimee (Noah) Kam; a step-great-grandchild, Makenna Kam; a sister-in-law, Bernice Carter. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances Horvat; two brothers, John and Edward Horvat; three sisters, Frances Petrovic, Elizabeth Spreitzer and Josephine Zelko. Frederick was born on July 28, 1918. He was a World War II Veteran serving in England as a Radio Operator in 904th Signal Corp. Frederick was self-employed for 35 years as the owner of Fred's Twin-Dor Restaurant. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the K.S.K.J., St. Francis Society, the American Legion Post #1080, and V.F.W. Cantigny Post #367.
