Age 80, passed away on March 26, 2007 at his residence with his loving family by his side. A lifelong resident of Joliet. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. Lifetime member of the Stone City Post, Moose Lodge of Joliet, Ceco Rec. Area. Retired from Commonwealth Edison after 37 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved to golf and bowl.

Preceded in death by his parents Robert C. and Hazel (nee Davis) Cheville and sister Oma May.

Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Virginia J. (Gliha) Cheville. Children, Deborah (George) Webb, Laurie (Michael) Pappas, Brian J. and Jeffrey R. Cheville. Five grandchildren, Kristin (Eric) Massey, Benjamin (Kelly) Webb, Samantha (Kevin) Ortiz, Shannon and Amanda Pappas; three great-grandchi-ldren, Elijah and Josiah Ortiz and Gideon Massey. Also one brother, Robert C. Cheville and one sister, Mary Louise Burrill; nieces, Cheryl (Ronald) Lang and Denise (John) Enger.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Grace United Methodist Church, Southwest Community Church or the Joliet Area Hospice Home would be appreciated.

Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 5 to 7:00 pm, the Chapel services will start at 7:00 pm, Pastor Joel Labertew and Pastor Jim Saltzman officiating. Interment services will be the following day Friday at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with Full Milirary Honors. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 9:30 am then will process out to the cemetery.
