Frank A. Lisdero

Frank A. Lisdero Age 94, taken to his Lord on Wednesday July 8, 2009 in his home surrounded by his family. Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Laverne M. (nee Guardia) Lisdero; children, Judy (Swede) Lindstrom, Paulette (late George) Boehner, Lu (Barry) Gordon and Raspin Stuwart; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; also survived by four children, Don (Mary Lynn) Confiliano, Joseph (Carol) Ward, David (Joan) Morse and Jim and Lynn Confiliano; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren on Laverne's side; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Eleanore (nee Kirincich) Lisdero; daughter, Mary Fran Lisdero; parents, Setimo (James) and Matilda (nee Macy) Lisdero; sisters, Mary and Lucille; and brothers, John and Rich. Lifelong resident of Joliet. Retired from U.S. Steel in 1970. Retired from the Joliet Public School District in 1978. Frank had a passion for golf and fishing. He will be missed by all who knew him and be remembered for his sense of humor, love of life and his contagious laughter. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's name to St. Ambrose Church or to the Vitas Innovative Hospice Care in Joliet would be appreciated.

Frank will lie in state at St. Ambrose Church Friday, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christen Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church. Interment will be at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery.
