Frank Koscik ""Speedy"" Age 85. At rest Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the Carl T. Hayden Veterans Administration Center in Phoenix, AZ. Loving father of Virginia (John) Migas, Nancy Hunt, Daniel (Stephanie) Koscik, Doris (Jeffrey) Minx. Dearest grandfather of Richard, Carrie Ann and Jeremy Hunt, Megan Koscik, David Migas, Stephen, Alan and DyLan Minx. Great-grandfather of Darren Hunt and Jasmine (Richard) Brown. A sister, Marcella (Late Phillip) Ostrem; and brothers, Robert (Shirley) and Thomas (Shirley) Koscik. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his wife, Agnes (nee Resetic) Koscik; parents, John and Mary (nee Gurbal) Koscik; two sisters, Ann Banas and Dorothy DuSchene; brother, Edward Koscik. Frank was born in Czechoslovakia and resided in Joliet and the Chicago areas throughout his lifetime. Retired in 1980 from Mendel Catholic High School in Chicago after 25 years of service. Frank was a United States Army Veteran, 103rd Combat Engineers 28th Infantry Division of World War II serving in the European Theatre, Battle of the Bulge, and was a P.O.W. in Germany. Frank was a member of the D.A.V. and was an Honorary Augustinian. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation and Video Tribute will be Sunday from 2-7 PM.
