Frank Stephen Dubrovich, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025 with his loving family by his side.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972. Following his military service, he was a pipefitter with the Local #597 Union.
Outside of work, Frank found joy in nature, especially while deer hunting and fishing, activities that brought him much peace and happiness. He also enjoyed mowing his grass and tending to his garden, Frank always had his yard looking nice. Above all, Frank’s greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren. Whether it was taking golf cart rides, hosting sleepovers, playing games, or building with Legos, those special moments with his family were the highlight of his life.
Frank’s memory will live on through his beloved family, who cherished his warmth, humor, and kind heart.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary (nee Maticic); daughter, Amy (Chad) Valentine; grandchildren, Chase and Hunter Valentine; sister, Rosemarie McGinn; and brother, Paul Dubrovich. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law also survive.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline (nee Grzincic) Dubrovich; brothers, Mike, George and John Dubrovich; brothers-in-law, Harold McGinn and David Maticic; and sister-in-law, Catherine Maticic.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Franks name to Lightways Hospice in Joliet.
Frank will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery privately.
