Francis R. Stoiber Jr. Age 74,At rest on Monday, May 28,2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Survived by his beloved wife,
of 47 years Rose B. (nee Pavich) Stoiber; loving father of Sally (Tim) Kisla and Roger (Michelle) Stoiber; devoted grandfather, of Meredith, Bennett, Timmy Kisla and Ava Kate Stoiber; three sisters, Barbara Burrill, Mary Rassman and Sharon (Tom) Morgan; two brothers, Richard (Josephine), and David (Peggy) Stoiber. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his son, Thomas Allen; parents, Francis R. Stoiber and Catherine Nolan Stoiber; one brother Fred Geske.
Francis was born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. Retired from the Joliet Herald News as an Account Executive and from Prudential as a Sales Agent. Upon retirement Francis worked for the Joliet Park District at Woodruff Golf Course. Member of St. Mary Nativity Mens Club, American Legion Post 1080, Old-Timers Baseball Association, past Board Member of the St. Joseph Boys Baseball, past Secretary of the Northwest Recreational Club. Graduated in 1950 from Joliet Catholic High School; enlisted in the US Marine Corp in 1951 and served during the Korean War in 1951-1954.
Memorials or contributions to the Joliet Area Community Hospice, Joliet Catholic Academy, or the St. Mary Nativity Endowment Fund in Francis name would be appreciated. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Joliet Area Community Hospice doctors Schilder, Schubert, Wayne, and their staff.
From where services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 9:30 AM to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Interment will be at St. Mary nativity Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-8 PM.
