""Shadow""

Age 91, on April 9, 2008 Shadow went to be with Veronica, his Hon, who died on April 9, 2005.

Shadow's passion was baseball. While growing up on Meeker Ave. he played on Speedboys, St. Cyril A. C., Reefers Trucking and the Meeker Ave. Wildcats teams. Shadow also played for a year with the St. Louis Cardinal's farm team. He was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Amateur Baseball Federation, and past president of the Will County Old Timers Baseball Association. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Shadow returned to Joliet where he married Veronica McGuire, started a family and continued to play baseball for Globe Oil. After playing for many years he became an umpire for numerous baseball leagues in the Will County area. When Shadow retired from Union Oil he became a starter at the Inwood Golf Course where he worked until 2003.

Shadow will be remembered by his children Maureen Mudron, Patrick (Andrea) Mudron, Martin (Mary Ann) Mudron and Anne (John) Querio, his grandchildren Shamus (Mary) Mudron, Marissa (Tim) Fears, Morgan, Bridget and Kaitlin Mudron, Neal and Ryann Querio, great grandchildren Tyler, Ceselie, Kayla, Emma, and Wesley, brother Edward (Barbara), and sister Joanne (George) Borman, sister-in-law Marian (late Andrew) Mudron, also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Veronica, infant daughter Sharon, parents Josef and Anna (nee Lucas) Mudron , brothers Joseph, Andrew and sister Margaret Mrozek.

Shadow served as the Republican Pct. Committeeman for over 48 years in Joliet Pct. 2. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice, Will County Old Timers Baseball Association or St. Ambrose Building Fund.

The Family of Shadow Mudron will receive friends and relatives at Tezak Funeral Home on Friday April 11, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, April 12 at 9:30 AM to St. Ambrose Catholic Church of Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Minooka.
