Frances I. (Hornicak) Wroblewski

Frances I. “Robby” (nee Hornicak) Wroblewski, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2017.
Fran is survived by her loving sisters-in-law, Audrey Hornicak and Patricia Hornicak; step-sons; step-grandsons; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alex Wroblewski; parents, John and Barbara (nee Maycher) Hornicak; siblings, Ann (George) Dancisak, Sophie and Mary Hornicak, Helen (Larry) Crichton, Margaret (Joseph) Midlock, Rose (John) Adams, John in infancy, Julie (Ray) Branchaw, Bertha (Andrew) Sari, Joseph and Richard Hornicak.
Fran and her husband Alex owned and operated their own grocery store in Crest Hill. She later was employed for over 50 years at Joliet Optical for Dr. Lennon, Dr. Paul Morimoto and Dr. David Morimoto. Before her illness, Fran was active in the Crest Hill Lions Club, Joliet Seniors and Cathedral Seniors. Fran loved traveling with her sisters and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rock Run Memory Care Facility and Joliet Area Community Hospice for their care.
A celebration of Frances’ life will begin on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00a.m at Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet. Then driving in procession to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville
