Frances M. Munday

Age 89. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her loving family by her side.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Alex G. Munday (2007). Her parents Anton and Frances (nee Kordis) Liker; her sisters, Josephine Liker (in infancy), Mary (Tony) Lopykinski, Anna (Louis) Ketz, and Rose (Ervin) Geiss; her brothers, Anton Liker (in infancy), John Liker and George Liker.
Survived by her loving children; Raymond (Shirley) Munday, Robert (Nancy) Munday, and Beverly (Richard) Darin; five dear grandchildren, Michael (Karen) Munday, Bob (Missy) Munday Jr., Colleen (Ryan) Nurczyk, Scott (Jen) Munday, and Erin Munday; six beloved great-grandchildren; Matthew Munday, Haley, Ava and Ella Nurczyk, and Kate and Kyle Munday; a sister, Betty (Frank) Gregorash; brother-in-law, Donald (the late Marge) Munday; sister-in law Shirley Liker; Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Frances was born in Joliet, and was a lifelong Crest Hill area resident. She was a member of St. AnneA�??s Altar and Rosary Society and The V.F.W. Cantigny Post #367 Ladies Auxiliary. She retired in 1982 from Joyce Beverages (7 UP Bottling Co.). Frances will always be remembered for her cabbage rolls, apple strudels, homemade chicken noodle soup, and poticas. She enjoyed spending time with the highlights of her life, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Frances will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all her doctors, nurses and the wonderful caregiving by the entire staff at the Joliet Area Community Hospice; a special thanks to caregivers Carrie and Carolyn.

Funeral services for Frances M. Munday will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. AnneA�??s Catholic Church, Crest Hill, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment to St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-5 & 6-8 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life.
