Frances E. Medina (nee Esquibel) Born in Morris, IL on October 5, 1925. At rest on September 16, 2009 at Silver Cross Hospital with her entire family by her side. Preceded in death by her parents Jose and Nicolasa (nee Avina) Esquibel; first husband Charles Brewer; second husband Fred Lewis Medina; sister Caroline Mirelez; brother Peter Esquibel; brothers-in-law Julio Sanchez and Wayne South. Survived by her sisters Rebecca South, Amelia Sanchez and Vera (Victor) Aldava; her children Charlie (Maria) Brewer, Frank (Judy) Medina, Rebecca Gruenwald, Fred (Cecelia) Medina and Frances (Alvaro) Cisneros; her grandchildren Ruben (Sasha) Medina, Monica (Moises) Gutierrez, Nicole (Fabian) Leon, Carlo Guzman, Salina (Andre) Love, Marissa Medina, Marilyn Medina, Greta Gruenwald, James Gruenwald, Mike, Robert, Freddy Medina and Anna Brewer; brother-in-law Fidel Mirelez. Also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. During WWII Frances worked at the Joliet Arsenal. She reluctantly retired in 1993 from Criterion Plastics with the hope to return to work someday. She had a gift for cooking. No matter how much her family tried to copy her recipes we all knew her secret ingredient was love. She reminded us everyday how much she loved us. She will be cherished eternally. We love you honey!
