Frances J. Ausec

Frances J. Ausec (nee Shega), age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2014 with her loving family by her side.

Frances is survived by her three sons, Thomas, Robert (Barbara), and Ronald (Missy) Ausec; grandchildren, Amy (the late Steve) Purcell, Sara (Will) Glass, Jenny (David) Black, Kelli (Richard) Nunez, Michael (Jamie) Ausec, Matthew Ausec and Dr. Alison Sanberg; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, and Evan Purcell, Devin Nunez, Paige and Payton Ausec, Olivia and Owen Black; sisters, Anne (the late Matt) Bukovich, Molly (the late Raymond) Fraboni, Frank (the late Vida) Shega; and sister-in-law, Connie (the late Matt) Gorshe.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, Frank Ausec; parents, John and Agnes (nee Skerbic) Shega; siblings, Agnes Zobel, Marie Hirsh, and John Shega.

Frances was born and raised in Chisholm, MN and resided in Joliet, IL. She retired from 1st Midwest Bank after 40 years of service. Frances was a lifelong parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Joliet. She was an avid Chicago sports fan, loved swimming, bowling and ice skating. She was a mother with a heart of gold who will be dearly missed.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Willow Falls Senior Living Community, Rosewood Care Center and Joliet Area Community Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Joliet would be appreciated.

Funeral Services for Frances will begin on Monday, May 12, 2014 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home 1211, Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL from 9-10:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
