Age 88, entered eternal life on Sunday, October 27, 2013 with his loving family by his side.
Felix is survived his beloved of 66 years, Lorene L. Deltonto (nee Chelini); five daughters, Joann (Mark) Brugger, Kathleen (Richard) Mathiason, Mary Lou (Allen) Kramerich, Carol (Harold) Schroeder, and Lori (Jerry) Zukoske; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Ange (the late John) Plese and Rosemarie (Leonard) Prieboy; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Rose Deltonto (nee Denardo); sister, Marie Blahut; and one brother, at infancy.
Felix worked at Argonne National Laboratory for 38 years and retired in 1987. He loved cooking, bowling, and fishing. He volunteered his time at the Guardian Angel Home for numerous years and was also a member of the Joliet Elks Lodge #296, Joliet Rivals Club, Joliet Seniors Association, and American Legion Post 1080. Felix was very proud of the time that he served in the Navy during World War II. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him.

A Celebration of Felix A. Deltonto's life will begin on Thursday, October 31, 2013 with a visitation from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, then moving in procession to Church of St. Anthony in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:15 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
