Fayette Lillian (Coffey) Considine

Fayette (Faye) Considine (nee Coffey) (affectionately called Toots by her siblings), passed away peacefully at home in Crest Hill, IL surrounded by her children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren on March 20, 2021. She was born on November 7,1935 in Chicago, IL to John and Lelia (nee Collier) Coffey.

Faye married the love of her life John J. Considine in Chicago, IL in 1953. They had been inseparable since the summer of their eighth grade. Faye grew up in Chicago, IL and graduated from Manley High School in Chicago as Valedictorian, Vice President of her Senior class, Business Manager of the Manley Times Newspaper and played volleyball.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that treasured her family and was beloved by all. She was always generous with her time, talents and resources. She was devoted to her faith and lived it fully every day through her actions. She was the quintessential mother who taught us all how to be independent, self-sufficient and about unconditional love. She has been the ultimate role-model for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Faye was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, John J. Considine of Crest Hill, IL; her sisters Amarylis (the late Orville) Poor of Peoria, Illinois and Janice Austin of California, her brothers John (the late Helen and Joan) Coffey of Carlsbad, CA, and Patrick (Lola) Coffey of Marana, Arizona.

She is survived by her children son John (Linda) Considine of Crest Hill, IL; daughter Joanne (John) Baker of Bolingbrook, IL; son Thomas (Machel) Considine of Chandler, AZ; Colleen (Gary) Gocken of Aurora, IL, son Brian (Sharon) Considine of Elgin, IL; her 11 grandchildren Lucas, Cara, Jared, Sean, Danielle, Amanda, Caitlin, Brendan, Mackenzie, Ryan and Luke; her 10 great-grandchildren Isaiah, Charlie, Cara Faye, Patrick, Hanorah, Archer, Reagan, Penelope, Jack, and brother Michael (Sheila) Coffey of Pasco, Washington and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Tezak’s Home to Celebrate Life at 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL 60435. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at the visitation on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral will begin from Tezak’s,  Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 9:00 AM until the time of prayers, and Mass will take place at St. Ambrose Church, Crest Hill, Illinois, Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
