Eugenia Murphy

Eugenia A. A�??GenieA�?i�� Murphy, born in Chicago, Illinois on September 13,1930. Resided in Crest Hill, Illinois. At rest on September 10, 2012 at Joliet Area Community Hospice with her family by her side.

Survived by her loving children Timothy (Beatrice), Kevin (Loretta), Monica (Stephen) Netzel and Kathleen (Nick) Capezio; brother Edward Gorlach; sister Sophia Brittain; grandchildren Lauren, Nick, Michelle, Elizabeth, Vincent, Kieran, Gianna, Kathryn, Nico and Anthony; great grandmother of three girls Lexi, Avery and Layla and adored by many nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years Alphonus P. Murphy; parents Joseph and Mary Gorlach; sister Elaine Sevald.

Genie retired after 20 years of employment at Jewel Corporation Headquarters. Genie volunteered for several years at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. She was an active member of the Carillion Lakes choir in Crest Hill. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Genie MurphyA�??s life will begin with family and friends meeting at St. Mary Immaculate Church on Saturday, September 15, 2012 for a memorial visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Memorial Mass to follow. Visitation will be on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
