Esther Martinez

Survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Art Martinez; and her wonderful daughters, Veronica (Fabian) Malave, Amy (Bruce) Solorzano, Stephanie (Tony) Rodriguez, and Erika (Santiago) Villafuerte; proud grandmother of Quirina, Stephanie, Desiree, Angelina, Emily, Bruce, Jalyssa, and Baby Veronica; daughter of Frances Marinez; sister of Linda (Sal) Rangel, MaryLou (Licha) Marinez, Jimmy Jr. Marinez, Ray Marinez; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law and godmother of many.

Preceded in death by her father, Santiago Marinez; and brother, Freddy Marinez.

Esther enjoyed vacationing with her family, creating decorations, planning parties, and collecting religious books and sacred icons.

She will be remembered as a very loving, caring, and giving person. She has touched the hearts of many for her thoughtfulness, generosity and will to help others. She took pleasure in bringing happiness to others, and was definitely atrue blessing from god.

Esther is now home with her heavenly father.

Prayer services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, at 11:30 am, then to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 404 North Hickory Street for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 noon.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 2 to 8 p.m.
