Esther M. Komp
November 11, 1920 — July 31, 2013
Esther M. Komp (nee Oltmans), age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 31, 2013. She is survived by her three sons, Mark (Charlene) of Arvada, CO, Robert (Debby) of Joliet, and Thomas of Green Bay, WI; her four grandchildren, Brian and Kara Komp and Jackson and Elijah Komp; three sisters, Lila, Corrinne and Doris of Nebraska; sister-in-law, Rita (the late Ray) Sula; and special friend, Diane Hill; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Komp (May 2002); her parents, Rinehart and Emma Oltmans and her brothers.
The family would like to thank Diane, Marlene and Rita for their friendship and kindness to Esther.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Esther's name may be made to Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 416 N. Chicago Street, Joliet, IL 60435.
A Celebration of Esther's life will begin on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11:00 am with a service at the funeral home chapel, then moving in procession to Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet.
