Esther T. Garced

Esther T. Garced, age 83, passed away peacefully in God's grace on Wednesday, April 01, 2015 with her loving family by her side.

Esther is survived by her four loving daughters, Adnellys "Nellie" (Frank) Bunzell, Yasmine (Dave) Purdey, Faith D. (Terry Rubitschung) Hood, Gloria "Gigi" Hood; grandchildren, Jason Bunzell, Jennifer Murawski and Adam Bunzell, Tana and Sara Purdey, Colton "C.J." Hood; great-grandsons, Jordan, Nathan and Matthew Bunzell, Tyler, Hunter and Jayden Murawski; great-granddaughter, Amelia Orlando; one sister, Carmen Gloria Garced; one niece, Soraya Benitez Mercado; one nephew, Jaime "Jimmy" Rodriguez Garced; good buddy, Krys Soutar; best friend and constant companion, Bambi.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Angel Luis "Gelito" Garced; nephew, Jose Alberto Rodriguez.

Esther was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico and came to the United States in 1953. She treasured her family and friends with whom she shared many special times together. Esther enjoyed spending time in her garden tending to her beautiful flowers. In the winter, Esther enjoyed passing the time by creating mobiles, wind chimes, lamps and crafting. Her laughter was contagious and she had a wonderful sense of humor. Esther's dogs were a very important part of her family, she loved them dearly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and her legacy will live on in our hearts forever.


Per Esther's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services held at the funeral home. A memorial will be held at a later date.
