Ernest Lopez Sr.

Ernest Lopez, Sr. age 83, born into eternal life on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

Ernest is survived by his children, Ernest Lopez Jr.; David Lopez and Julia; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; siblings, Aurora (William) Gallegos and Ray Lopez.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Julia (nee Moreno); siblings, Catalina, Antonio (Beverly) Lopez, Lupe (Ben) Ferriera, Jesse Lopez, Charles (Elidia) Lopez, George Lopez, Paul (Midge) Lopez, David Lopez, Henry Lopez and Socoro Lopez.

Ernest was a proud Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago White Sox fan and enjoyed watching the games. He also enjoyed line dancing and spending time outdoors, fishing. Ernest will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family invites all guests to wear the attire of your choice, casual attire is welcome.

A celebration of Ernest’s life will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family invites relatives and friends to gather on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service to be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Joliet.
