Erin Boaden

Erin K.M. Boaden (nee Shiffer)

Age 46 of Crest Hill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.

Born June 30, 1977 in Joliet, Erin was a daughter of David and Cheryl (Crook) Shiffer. Erin was an accomplished jeweler who dedicated over 25 years of her craft with Jared. She was also a licensed massage therapist, and that was just one of the many gifts that she had to offer those in need. In her free time, Erin enjoyed her time as a member of gym that she truly found herself at. Above all else, Erin absolutely treasured her friends and her beloved family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but will never be forgotten.

Erin is survived by her husband: Leroy Boaden; daughter: Becca Gilmore; son: Brady Boaden; brother: Damon (Erin) Shiffer; sisters: Marti (Corey) Kilbreath and Sheri (Wesley) Cornwell; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as one great-niece and one great-nephew.

She is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, and her parents: David and Cheryl Shiffer.

Per Erin’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. A celebration of Erin’s life will continue on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the funeral home with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of memorial service which will begin at 11:00 a.m.
