The Rodriguez family, with sorrow and broken hearts, announces the transition into Eternal Life of their beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Emma Rodriguez; who entered into God's heavenly gates on May 17, 2017 at her home in Westminster, Colorado. Her earthly life began on September 16, 1934 when she was born to her parents, Seferino Mata and Nellie Rodriguez in Orange, Texas.
Emma was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed watching the Cowboys on television, going shopping, visiting family and going to church. She loved sunflowers and her favorite color was red.
Emma is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Enrique Rodriguez; son, John P. Rodriguez; her parents, Nellie and Seferino Mata; brothers, Juan Mata, Seferino Mata and Lorenzo Mata; sisters Rosa Mata and Lucia Mata; nephew Freddy Mata, and a niece, Fransice Mata ad Liz Mata.
To cherish Emma's memory are her children, Joe M. Rodriguez of Colorado, Henry Rodriguez of Colorado, Linda Borrego of Illinois, Alicia Rodriguez of Colorado, Gloria Rodriguez of Colorado; sisters, Juanita (Pablo) Vasquez, Margarita Baragan and Gabriel Anderade; 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren all of Colorado and Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of Emma's life will begin on Friday, June 2, 2017 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. to the time of the chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet).
