Emma Jean "Toddy" Mikuska

September 2, 1935 — January 18, 2015

Emma Jean Mikuska "Toddy" (nee Residori), age 79, entered eternal life on Sunday, January 18, 2015 with her loving family by her side.

Toddy is survived by her loving son, Richard B. (Tommi) Mikuska Jr. of Garfiled, AR; loving sister, Jeanie (Vince) Gelsomino of Princeton, IL; as well as numerous dear in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard B. Mikuska Sr.; parents, Arthur and Mary (nee Legan) Residori; sister, MaryAnn Stasko.

Toddy was employed at Tri-County Periodicals where she worked as a secretary after graduating from Providence High School. She belonged to the Hobbits Club in Arkansas where she previously lived. She was a lifetime VFW Ladies Auxiliary member. Toddy married her husband and love of her life, Richard Sr., on May 12, 1956. Toddy had a passion for cooking and loved being a homemaker. She was a very thoughtful and generous person and she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Donations, in Emma's name, may be made to Adventist St. Thomas Hospice, P.O. Box 130, Hinsdale, IL 60522 or masses may be offered to the parish of one's choice.

A Celebration of Emma's life will begin on Friday, January 23, 2015 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 10:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 416 N. Chicago St., Joliet, IL 60432 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Rev. James Lennon officiating. Interment will be private at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
