Age 82 of Joliet born November 5, 1923 at rest Tuesday, August 01, 2006 at his home.
He married his beloved wife Bernice A. (nee Resetic) at St.
Joseph Church on October 13, 1956, and is also survived by his children Karen (Robert) Colman, Michael (fiancA�?A�AC.e Laura Ruzon) and Kenneth (Beverly) Ramsak; granddaughter Alison Lynn Colman and step-granddaughters Erin, Lindsey and Kristen Wise; sister-in-law Marie (Joseph, deceased) Kanta and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Theresa (nee Lorenci) Ramsak and one brother Joseph C. Ramsak. Emil was a WWII Veteran of the US Army Air Forces 12th Bomb Group, 10th Air Force, 83rd Bomb Squadron Earthquakers. He flew 35 missions in the B-25 Squadron and received an Air Medal - One Oak Leaf Cluster, Far East Campaign Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. Emil was a member and past officer of KSKJ St. Francis Lodge #29, member of Loyal Order of Moose #300, American Legion Post #1080, member and trustee of Teamsters #179, Retiree Club, VFW Catigny Post #367, life-time member of Joliet Eastside A.C., member of St. Joseph Church Holy Name Society, St. Joseph Church Senior Citizens, member and 1st Vice-President of Old-Timers Baseball Association and member of Senior Citizens Association. Emil was Senior of the Year 2001 for St. Joseph Church and also received an award for 58 years continuous membership in American Legion Post #1080. He was very active in the KSKJ and Senior Citizen Bowling Leagues. Emil was an avid Sox fan and great sports enthusiast coaching baseball and basketball and in recent years, became a great volleyball fan and the girls at Minooka Community High School knew him as ""Papa."" Visitation and Video Tribute Thursday, August 3 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Holy Name Society will meet at 4:30 PM.
