Elvira "Veda" R. Guzman

Elvira R. “Veda” Guzman, age 68, entered into eternal life, Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
Elvira is survived by Francisco Guzman; two sons, Adrian and Armando; granddaughter, Taylor Lynn-Guzman; mother, Eudelia (nee Hernandez) Asa; siblings, Delores Hernandez, David (Debbie) Hernandez, Rachel (Jaime) Manzo, Anna (Thomas Platt) Gooday, and Virginia (Eugene) Luna; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by her father, Fred Medina; grandparents, Felisa and Epifano Hernandez.
Veda was a hair stylist at Terri Aversa’s and Alma’s Hair Studio and also worked at Empress Casino for several years. She was truly blessed by all of her friends and family. Veda will be missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Elvira’s life will begin on Saturday, March 26, 2016 with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service to be held at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Fr. Pete Jankowski officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435. Per Elvira’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
