It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elvia Ornelas-Rios, 67, who peacefully passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Elvia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who brought joy, warmth, and love to everyone she knew. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Elvia's greatest love was her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched. She was a source of strength, guidance, and laughter, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A celebration of Elvia’s life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 1705 Burry Cir Dr, Crest Hill Following the services, cremation will follow in accordance.

Elvia will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

Es con corazones pesados que anunciamos el fallecimiento de Elvia Ornelas-Rios, de 67 años, quien falleció pacíficamente el Viernes 4 de Abril de 2025, rodeada de su amada familia. Elvia fue una esposa, madre, abuela y amiga devota, que trajo alegría, calidez y amor a todos los que conoció. Su bondad, generosidad y espíritu inquebrantable serán profundamente extrañados por todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

El mayor amor de Elvia era su familia. Deja un legado de amor y recuerdos atesorados que vivirán en los corazones de su querido esposo, hijos, nietos y todos aquellos cuyas vidas tocó. Fue una fuente de fortaleza, orientación y risas, y su memoria seguirá inspirando a todos los que la conocieron.

Una celebración de la vida de Elvia se llevará a cabo el Domingo 13 de Abril de 2025, de 4:00 PM a 8:00 PM en Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL.

Los servicios funerarios se realizarán el Lunes 14 de Abril de 2025, a las 10:00 AM en la Iglesia Católica Romana Saint Ambrose, 1705 Burry Cir Dr, Crest Hill. Tras los servicios, se realizará la cremación de acuerdo con lo establecido.

Elvia será siempre amada, siempre recordada y siempre extrañada.
