Ella Elizabeth Bega

Ella Elizabeth "Bette" Bega (nee Triplette), age 90, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014.



Ella is survived by her children, Mary Beth (nee Bega)(Scott) Ruphard, Douglas (Paula) Bega, Dennis Bega, James (Kristine Hamilton) Henry III; grandchildren, Sara Mattingly Bega, Koren (nee Henry)(Lucas) Livingston, James IV and Lou Ann Henry, Justin; great-grandchildren, Kassel Livingston, Sophia and Josh Henry. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.



Preceded in death by her first husband, James Henry Jr. in 1946 and Joseph Bega in 1982; parents, Harvey and Mary (nee Mattingly) Triplette; her siblings, Fred, Thomas, Howard, Charles, Leonard, Jesse and Mary; her pet companion, "Trixie."



Ella was a longtime member of Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church in Homer Glen (formerly St. Mary Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church). She retired from Marshall Fields. Ella enjoyed traveling to Disney World, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and working the Friday night fish fry at the Knights of Columbus Council #382.



The family would like to offer a special thank you to the caring staff of the Damiano Wing at Presence Villa Franciscan.



A celebration of Ella's life will begin on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the chapel service at 12:30 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
