February 6, 1957 — January 15, 2012

Elizabeth A�??BettyA�?i�� (Nee McTague) Stimac, age 54 years, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at her residence in Costa Mesa, California. Elizabeth was a graduate of Joliet Central high school, Class of 1975. Elizabeth was born in Joliet but has lived in California for the past 25 years where she worked the hardest job of all, being a full time mother. She loved taking her family to the beach as well as spending time near the ocean. Elizabeth decided to go back to school in 2003 and she was inducted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society in 2004. Elizabeth received her Associate in Arts in 2006, as well as her Associate in Science in Speech Language Pathology in 2007. Elizabeth believed that A�??life is too short to be anything but happy,A�?i�� and that A�??falling down is part of life, but getting back up is living.A�?i�� Elizabeth will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her brother Robert McTague and her sister Rita McTague.

Survived by her husband, Larry Stimac; son, Jason Stimac; both parents, James and Mary McTague; father and mother- in-law Raymond and Viola Stimac; siblings, Joanne (Robert) Buss, Frances (Roger) Trainor, Dorothy Jones, Judith (Kenneth) Kelly, James (Becky) McTague, Margaret (Francis) Alaimo, Raymond (Pam) McTague, and Kathleen (Mark) Curran; brother-in-law, Raymond (Sue) Stimac; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and very good friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24th at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 25th, beginning with prayers at the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m.; then in procession to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment private. A celebration of ElizabethA�??s life will follow at the Joliet Moose Lodge at 1:00PM.
