Elizabeth A. Marso (Betty) (nee Vancina)
Age 86. At rest, Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Raymond J. Marso, one daughter, Deborah R. Marso and one son, Edward R. Marso (fiancee Nancy Madziarczyk). Two sisters-in-law Mary (late) Joe Gasparac and Mary (late) Frank Vancina, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Simon and Catherine (nee Plese), one sister Catherine P. Kozubek, one brother-in-law George J. Kozubek, five brothers - Frank, Edward, Steve, George and Victor Vancina, two half brothers - John Gasparic (late Helen Gasparic) and Joe Gasparac, two step brothers - Simon and Thomas Vancina. Elizabeth was born in Joliet and was a resident of Crest Hill for 30 years and Joliet for 56 years. She was employed by the American Can Company for 17 years and retired in 1958. She enjoyed taking care of her family and home. Thank you to Dr. Divyesh Bhatt, Dr. Punit Vajaria and all of the people who have taken care of Elizabeth at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Also thank you to Lee and Kay Pemble and special friend and neighbor Frieda Clausen. Elizabeth will be dearly missed by all of her relatives and friends. Contributions may be made to St. Mary Nativity Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice.
Where services will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Nativity Church for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery, Crest Hill. Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
