Elizabeth C. (Albert) Malnar

Elizabeth C. Malnar “Betty,” (nee Albert) age 106, at rest on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Parc Nursing home at Joliet.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving children, John (Carol) Malnar and Mary Kay Miko; grandchildren, Ann Marie (Michael) Gajdalo, John Jr. (Nancy) Malnar, Paul Malnar and Jerome Miko; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Gajdalo, Macormack and Graden Malnar; and sister, Gloria Blazekovich.

Preceded in death by her husband, John Malnar; grandchildren, an infant and Gregory Malnar; brothers, Salvatore, Christopher, Mitch, Dominic, Clem, John, George, Edward and Richard Albert; sisters, Rose Martino and Mary Pluth.

Elizabeth was formerly employed at Gerlach Barklow Printing and ran Malnar’s Novelty Shop Prior to her retirement. She was very loving and caring woman who devoted her life to her family. She was a lifelong Chicago Cub fan and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will begin on Saturday, December 10, 2016 with a visitation at St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Crest Hill.

There will be no funeral home visitation or services.
