Elizabeth J. Gall "Betty" (nee Maurer), age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2015.

Betty is survived by her children, Linda (Bob) Wichowski, Richard (Barb) Gall, Susan Gall, Margaret (Robert) Lagrone, Jim (Debra) Gall, Tina (Mike Kwasiborski) Rodgers, Donald (Val) Gall, Laura Darling, Charles Gall; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; siblings, Daryl (the late Ruth) Maurer, Doris (the late Ray) Stachowiak, Margaret (George) Kosack; daughter-in-law, Marilyn (the late Kurt) Gall. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband, Henry Gall on April 6, 1989; son Kurt Gall on August 18, 2013; parents, Lester and Elsie (nee Keutzer) Maurer.

Betty was employed at Silver Cross Hospital and went on to work for Home Health Services in the greater Joliet Area. She was also a lifetime seamstress and an avid bowler. Betty loved to have a good time and will be missed by all who knew her.

To help in finding a cure and treatment for dementia and Alzheimer's, donations in Elizabeth's name to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org would be appreciated.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Sunny Hill Nursing Home for the wonderful care provided to mom.

A Celebration of Betty's life will begin on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 with a service to be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Fr. James Lennon officiating. Per Betty's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be held privately at a later date. Visitation will be on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL from 2-8 p.m.
