Elizabeth Gail Boyer (nee Everts), age 60, entered into eternal life on Monday, December 22, 2014 with her loving family by her side.
Beth is survived by her loving children, Constance Marie (Thomas) Tongue, Rebecca (Nathan) Swarthout, Nicholas (fiancAC.e Mary), and Joshua (fiancAC.e Roxanne) Boyer; cherished grandchildren, Cayla and Nathan Tongue, Jacob Hostad, Dominic and Anthony Swarthout, Kayla Green, Brandan Boyer-Green, Aiden Badker, and Keldin Boyer; loving sister, Roberta Susan (Marv) Evans; dear brother-in-law, Robert (the late Carol Ann) O'Toole; precious cousins, Debra and Richard DeAtley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary (nee McCormick) Everts; beloved grandson, Zachary Michael Hostad; beloved granddaughter, Julianna Renee Swarthout; loving sisters, Carol Ann O'Toole and Mary Ginny (Earl) Murphey.
Beth graduated from Joliet West High School in the class of 1972. She worked at Illinois Bell and later at Harrah's Casino where she was employed for 17 years and where she met many of her lifelong friends. Beth had a special way of conveying emotions and feelings with the written word. Her poetry was beautiful. She loved crocheting, puzzles, and reading, especially her Harlequin Romance Novels. Beth possessed a relentlessly kind and generous heart. She lived her life for her children and most of all her cherished grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Beth's name may be made to Wish Upon a Star Foundation, Joliet or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A Celebration of Beth's life will begin on Monday, December 29, 2014 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435 then driving in procession to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Plainfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
