Eleanore "Ellie" Alice (Randich) Carlson

February 12, 1930 — March 1, 2021

Eleanore Alice Carlson Randich

Age 91, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2021 while in residence at Burgess Square under their gentle care.

Born February 12, 1930 in Joliet, "Ellie" was one of eleven children of Marion and Patricia Randich.

Ellie brought smiles galore everywhere she went and to everyone around her.  Her gentle soul and peaceful nature will be missed.

Ellie was a true pioneer in her day by joining the prestigious American Airlines Stewardess Corps where she proudly earned her wings and elegantly served many a well know personality.  It was while on duty and working for AA, where she met her future husband Victor.  She bravely moved to Mexico City to begin her new life.  She laid down roots and raised 4 children and became involved with the large American ex-pat community.

In no order of importance, Ellie loved her family, her children, her extended families, her grandchildren, coming home to Crest Hill to visit, spending summers at the lake in Minnesota, and family gatherings.  In addition, Ellie loved to cook, play poker, card games, the casinos, read, travel, garage sales, auctions, all things Golf, all things Tennis, All things Jeopardy, the Theater, and love of life.

Ellie is "welcomed home" in heaven by those preceding her:  Mom and Dad, six brothers, and four sisters.  She is survived by son: Jeffrey with wife Sarita - children Nicole & Bryan (Mexico City); daughter: Michelle - children Kimberley & Ashleigh (Illinois); son: Thomas - children Ahna & Catherine (Minnesota), and son: Paul (Minnesota).

Memorial services and Celebration of Life is tentatively planned for July 2021.  The Carlson family thanks everyone for all their prayers and support. In addition, a heartfelt Thank you to the great staff at Burgess Square and Amita Hospice.
