At rest on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home at age 87. Survived by one daughter Joan and two sons William (Susan) Kernc of Peoria, IL. and Robert (Terry) Kernc of Diamond, IL.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her sister Phyllis (William) Binzen; brother and sister-in-law Albert and Lorraine Kernc, and brother-in-law William Meditz. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Frank (2007); infant daughter Kathleen; parents Walter and Mary (nee Baudek) Wruk; sisters Bernice Meditz, Dolores Elias and Rosemary Darling. Special thanks to her wonderful and compassionate caregivers at Joliet Area Community Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice in Eleanor"s name would be appreciated.
From where services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 9:30 AM to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-7 PM.
