Eddie is survived by his loving children Brittany and Jessica Oakley, Adam Fay, and Ricky Peters; beloved fiancee Sheri Colvin; cherished grandchildren, Kaden, Harley, and Hailey; dear sisters, Karen, Sharon, and Patti; dear brothers, Daniel, Jonathon, Jimmy, and Chuckie; loving mother-in-law, Bonnie Colvin; sister-in-law, Jennifer; mother, Patricia; as well as numerous cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his father, Edward D. Oakley; sister, Cathy.

Family meant everything to Eddie. He loved his children and fiancee. His daughters were the light of his life. Eddie was an incredible man who was always able to see the good in people. He was a cherished father, fiance, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Brittany Oakley to help offset funeral costs.

A Celebration of Edward's life will begin on Sunday, June 29, 2014 with a Visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435. A chapel service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Per Edward's wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
