Age 44, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 17, 2008 at his home.
Survived by his loving children, Melissa and Nicole Mahoney; loving and special friend, Michelle Mahoney; and one brother, Timothy (Tina) Mahoney. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen (nee Johnston) Mahoney.
Employed at Nutec Manufacturing in New Lenox, IL. and Cox Livery. Attended New Life Church in New Lenox.
Avid racecar driver #33 Street Stock at Grundy County Speedway, owner and driver of Mahoney Racing Team.
Ed's family would like to thank the fans and crew for their support.
Ed will be remembered by his many fans as 'Candyman'.
In lieu of flowers contributions to the family would be appreciated.
A Chapel Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 7:30 PM. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 2-8 PM.
