Edmund R. Blowers, age 55, entered eternal life on Friday, July 11, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Ed was a teacher.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Nicki (nee Todorovich); beloved daughters, Amanda and Sarah; sister-in-law, Nancy (Mark) Ferencik; brother-in-law, Richard (Dan) Todorovich; niece, Lauren Ferencik; great uncle, Joseph F. Jonish; brother, Charles Blowers Sr.; sisters, Lori Blowers and Susan Platts; sister-in-law, Nancy Blowers; lifelong friends, Mike Torri and Tim DeJule; two cats, Smokey and Shadow; and his faithful companion, Riley AKA Spot the Wonder Dog; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his parents, Edmund R. and Delores (nee Pasdertz) Blowers; brother, Ralph Blowers; and niece, Cynthia Mendez (nee Blowers).

Ed was a member of KSKJ St. Francis de Sales #29 and American Federation of Musicians Local #37. Ed was employed by various area colleges and high schools throughout his career as well as Harrah's Casino.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the doctors and staff, especially Dr. Winkleman, who cared for Ed during this difficult time.

A Celebration of Ed's life will begin on Monday, July 14, 2014 with a visitation from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435 then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Per Ed's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be held privately at St. Joseph Cemetery.
