Dorothy J. Unmisig

Age 85, at rest Sunday December 28, 2008 at the Joliet Hospice Home with her family by her side.
Loving mother of Charlene Voitik, Richard (Sally) Unmisig Jr. and Beverly (Anthony) Jadron; dearest grandmother of Michael and Richelle Voitik, Meredith (Larry) Holcombe, Kevin Whitehead, Nicholas, Melissa and Jessica Jadron; great-grandchildren, Alec, Madison and Emma Holcombe; one sister, Delores (late Joseph) Janes; two brothers, Anthony and Edward (Olga) Matesevic; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Unmisig; grandson, Elliott Unmisig; parents, John V. and Dora (nee Bratina) Matesevic; brothers, John, Nicholas, Joseph, Frank and Michael Matesevic; sisters, Anna Strusa- Markovich, Catherine (Joseph) Tomac and Mary Lou (Al) Ballun.
Dorothy was born in Joliet and a lifelong resident of Crest Hill, retired from Chaney-Monge School after 27 years of service. Dorothy will forever be known for her wonderful sense of humor and her great compassion for everyone.
The family would like to thank friends and neighbors for their support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers donations to Joliet Hospice in Dorothys name would be greatly appreciated.
From where prayer services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 9:30 AM to St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 8:00 PM.
