Dorothy Surinak, (nee Harrison)
Age 77. Passed away peacefully at the Joliet Area Hospice
Home, on Tuesday, November 21, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Joliet on December 28, 1928, she was a lifelong resident. Graduate of Joliet Township High School. She met her husband of 59 years, Tom, at Meadow Gold Dairy where they were both employed. She also worked at U.S. Steel, retiring in 1980. Member of St. Patrick's Mother's Club and C.C.W. A loving wife and mother, whose greatest joy was her grandchildren,
Preceded in death by her parents William and Margaret (Keith) Harrison; two brothers, William and Edward Harrison.
Survived by her husband, Thomas; her daughter, Deborah (David) Brozman; grandsons, Matthew and Michael Brozman; one brother, Robert (JoAnn deceased) Harrison; two sisters-in-law, Lois (Lawrence deceased) Surinak and Lydia (Edward deceased) Harrison; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their deepest thanks to all those who have given their continuous prayers and support through these past difficult two years. Special thanks to Dr. Sanjiv Modi, Dr. Steven Cataldo, and the nurses and staff of the Joliet Area Hospice Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or St. Patrick's Church would be appreciated.

From where services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 9:30 AM to St. Patrick Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Friday 2 to 8 PM.
