Dorothy Jeanette Partipilo

Age 86 of Crest Hill and formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Rock Run Place in Joliet.

Born August 25, 1935 in Chicago, Dorothy was a daughter of Joseph and Ann (Horina) Knize. She was raised and educated in the Chicagoland area and throughout her life wore many hats. Dorothy worked as an office clerk for many years, but first and foremost was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband: John; five children: David (Mary) Partipilo, Susan (Bernard) Olsen, Lori (Bill) Vanoskey, Mark (Michelle) Partipilo and Denise (Dimas) Ortiz, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Ann; brothers: Richard Knize and Alan Knize, and sister: Carol Owen.

Per Dorothy’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will continue on Monday, February 21, 2022 with a memorial visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of closing prayers beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The funeral will then drive in procession to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1705 Burry Circle in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial which will begin at 11:00 a.m.
