Dorothy M. Mackay (nee Zupancic)

Age 89, late of Lockport. At rest May 22, 2009 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. Born in Joliet, lifelong area resident. Member of St. Joseph"s Church, Rosarian Club, Altar & Rosary Society and K.S.K.J. St. Genevieve Society #108. Former member RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program), Senior Services Center of Will County, and Gladys Fox Golden Age Club. Former volunteer at Catholic Charities, among others, for many years. More recently, she enjoyed working part time for Catholic Books & Treasures for 10 years. Preceded in death by her husband John ; her father Frank Zupancic and mother , Mary (Horvat) Spelich ""A�??Zupancic; sisters, Mary and Angela Spelich, Anna (Frank) Sraj, Agnes (Frank) Gurka, and Helen (Don) McGann; brothers, Frank (Mary) Spelich, William and Joseph Spelich, and Leonard Zupancic. Survived by a son, John of Colorado and a daughter, Judy (Stewart) Demsky of Elwood; one sister-in-law, Gen Zupancic of Lockport; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Many thanks to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Staff for all their help and support.
