Dorothy M. Koncar (nee Fedo), age 89 at rest on Sunday, January 21, 2018 with her loving family by her side.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children, John Jr., William (Susan), Raymond (Annette), Paul (Cheryl), and Elaine (Paul) Dinquel; cherished grandchildren, Matt (Mary), Andy, and Joe (Suraya) Koncar, Rob (Jamie), Frank (Kathy), John, Margaret (fiancé Michael Marmonti), and Amy Koncar, Steve, Nick, and Elena Koncar, Julie, Lisa, and Jeff Dinquel; six great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, John C. Koncar (1989); parents, John and Mary (nee Erjavec) Fedo; stepfather, Frank Fedo; and brother, Robert (Janice) Fedo.
Dorothy grew up in Rockdale and spent her adult life in Joliet. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet, a member of St. Joseph’s Seniors, Altar and Rosary Society, St. Genevieve KSKJ Lodge 108, and Slovenian Union of America.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to St. Joseph Catholic Church Joliet or the Slovenian Women’s Union Scholarship Foundation.
A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will begin on Friday, January 26, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
