Age 82 ,passed away peacefully at Salem Village Nov. 21 2007 with her family by her side.
Dorothy was born March 26,1925 to John and Mary (nee Nadzam) Gulas.
Survived by her sister Margaret (Bill) Rausa, brother John (Marie) Gulas, sister-in-law Carroll(Edward) Gulas. Loving nephew and caregiver Raymond C. Mareno, special niece Joann Brost, also numerous nieces and nephews and Godchildren to whom she was like a mother.
Preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary (Bill) Seeley, Ann(George) Schmidt, Elizabeth Gulas, Susan Gulas, and Helen Meister, brothers, Joseph (Nettie) Gulas and Edward Gulas.
Dorothy retired from Illinois Bell Telephone after 32 years of service and was a member of the Grand Prairie Telephone Pioneers Club, St. Mary"s Assumption Church (Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Parish), and Seniors Bowling Leagues, and enjoyed traveling with her sisters. Dorothy had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Divine Liturgy will be Saturday December 1,2007 at Annunciation Byzantine Church at 8 AM, please omit flowers.
The family of Dorothy A. Gulas invites relatives and friends to join them for a prayer service at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 10 AM Fr. Thomas loya officiating.
Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 7 PM, Parastas services will be at 6 PM.
