Doris M. Gusich

Doris M. Gusich (nee Hermes), late of Lemont, died on December 23, 2010 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, where she resided with her husband Robert, who died on December 25, 2010.

She is survived by her sister, Charlene Larson. She is also survived by and was like a second mother to her nephews Gregory (Lynn) Larson and Eric (Tracy) Larson, and her niece Denise (John) McKevitt. Doris is also survived by her sister-in-law Doris (late John) Kelley and her brother-in-law John Gusich, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary (nee Petan) Hermes.

Doris and Bob loved to travel and had many memorable trips worldwide. She was an avid knitter with many friends whose company was greatly cherished. Her love for children and animals was unsurpassed. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Thomas Larson for his friendship, concern and care throughout Doris and Bob"s lives.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to leave a lasting memorial in Doris"s name may make a contribution to Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A celebration of Doris and Robert"s Lives will begin with prayers at the funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29 at 10:15 AM, then in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lockport for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be from 9 AM until time of prayers at:
