Dorann Hrusosky

Dorann H. Hrusosky (nee Ferguson), age 58, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, September 27, 2018 after a courageous battle with Leukemia.

Dorann is survived by her beloved partner in life, Joseph McIntosh; sisters, Laura (Phillip) Braham and Jill (Mark Killman) Ferguson; loving pets, Holly, Layla, and Roxy; uncle, Nick Zigrossi; and numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Judith (nee Hoffmann) Ferguson.

Dorann was born and raised in Joliet, IL.  After graduating from Joliet West High School, she started her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and then went on to become a Senior Pharmaceutical Technician at Walgreens for 29 years. Dorann loved spending time with Joe and her pets, cooking, crafting, going to the zoo and sitting outside watching and feeding her squirrels, chipmunks and any other animals that happily wandered into her yard.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Joliet and Rush Memorial Medical Center in Chicago and Alden Estates in Shorewood for their wonderful care and service.

A celebration of Dorann’s life will begin on Friday October 5, 2018 with a memorial visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 7:30 p.m. Per the family’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
