Age 64, born April 12, 1943 in Joliet, IL passed away on Sunday, 12-2-07, at her home after an extended illness with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Videtich and Amalia (Mollie) Bezek and is survived by siblings, Donald (Donna Jean Hill), David (Joy Glenn), and Dolores (Dee) Welsh and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donna was currently employed at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin as the Clinical Educator. She had been Professor of Nursing at College of DuPage for 22 years which included Co-chairing 3 regional conferences on the Infusion of Asian Culture into Interdisciplinary Curricula and Co-chairing the Regional Center for Asian Studies Development for 3 years. She participated in and then facilitated at the Asian Studies Program at the East West Center in Hawaii, followed by a Fulbright study in China. She was Asst. Prof of Nsg at St. Xavier College for 4 years prior to her time at COD.
After graduating from Little Company of Mary School of Nursing, Evergreen Park, in 1964, Donna worked at Children"s Memorial Hospital, Fantas Clinic, IL Masonic Hospital, Weiss Memorial Hospital, and Hines VA Hospital, all in the Chicago Metro area.
Over the years she earned a BSN from UIC, MSN and MBA from Loyola U Chicago, and Graduate Certification in Holistic Health from Western Mich. U.
Donna was a dear, loving and fun sister, aunt, cousin, teacher and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
