Donna Elizabeth Ross (nee West)

Born on July 9, 1951, passed away on October 9, 2023, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who left an indelible mark on the lives of those around her.

In 1977, Donna married her beloved husband, Gerald. Their union was one of love and companionship that lasted for decades.

A woman of many talents and interests, Donna loved crafting, caretaking, music and captivating an audience with a good anecdote. She also possessed incredible baking skills. Her creations were renowned among friends and family who eagerly awaited the next batch of delicious treats from her kitchen. Alongside her baked goods, she was known for her love of a good cup of Lipton Tea.

Donna found great joy in her role as a grandmother. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. The laughter and love they shared will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Survived by her loving husband, Gerald Ross, Donna’s memory will forever live on through her children Lorie Ann (Glade) Hooley, Robert William Siblik, Micheal John Ross, Tiffany Lynn (David) Hanson; grandchildren: Daniel Robert Siblik, Allyson McKay Freeman, Zachary Chase Hooley, Catherine Elizabeth Hooley, Jakob Tyler Hanson; great-grandchildren: Kylazjae Rose Siblik, Ana’Lee Jo Siblik, Scarlett Janie Siblik, and Lilah Maxine Freeman; as well as her brothers : Robert (Donna) West and William  (Anna Marie) West.

Donna’s legacy extends beyond her immediate family. She leaves behind cherished memories of her parents: Elizabeth McKay (nee Maxwell) West and Harold Francis West. Her parents played an instrumental role in shaping the person she became.

Donna Ross will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness and the light she brought into the lives of those around her. Her memory will forever be treasured by her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 1:00p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 p.m.
