Age 63, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2008 at Silver Cross Hospital.
Survived by his loving wife, Mary (nee Juricic); one son, Bruce (Audra) Walsh; three daughters, Nadine Walsh, Lenora (Rick) Starmann and Valarie Walsh; four step-daughters, Janet (Brian) Bucciarelli, Kimberly (Dale) Bakalar, Michelle Hamdan, (Samuel Cornejo), Nicole Hamdan; one brother, Paul (Cynthia) Walsh; one sister, Cathy (Robert) Bradberry; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ida; four sisters, Helen (Jerry) Bills, Florence (Slim) McCullie, Betty Walsh and Ida Nellie Walsh; one brother, Joseph Walsh.
Born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. Employed by Elmhurst Chicago Stone for 30 years, retiring in 2006. Member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 84 and East Side A.C. Don was an avid fisherman, enjoyed boating and his love for horses. Pisut Funeral Home in charge of arrangements at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd., Joliet, IL. 815 722-0524. From where services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM to St. Joseph Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday from 3-8 PM.
