Age 84. At rest Friday February 3, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center with his family by his side.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Theresa (nee DeAngelis) Truax; 2 brothers, William and Charles Truax, and a sister, Evelyn (Al) Cerutti.
Survived by his beloved daughter Judy (Steve Lucas) Truax; a sister, Marilyn Truax, and a very special friend of Corky and his family, Bonnie Rentschler. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Corky was born in Joliet and a lifelong area resident. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a member of V.F.W. Cantigny Post #367. Corky retired in 1988 from Joliet Pattern Works after over 40 years of employment. He was an avid White Sox and Notre Dame fan. Corky was also a gardener and enjoyed a good game of euchre. He was well known for rallying the neighbors on his patio.
Funeral services for Donald E. Truax will be held on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
